Really nicely explained article, thanks for taking the time to write it. Personally though, I treat typescript as a tool and if I get into the land of really complex typing then I question the use of it as I think most developers won't be able to interpret it and then therefore how useful is it? However, having said that we should always be pushing ourselves to understand better the tool we use on a day to day basis.
